Netflix - Frankenstein

The project began in an unexpected way. An experimental drone film Andy had previously shot at Seacliff Beach was discovered while locations were being researched for Frankenstein, leading to a commission to return and capture the landscape specifically for the production.

Working over several days in February, we filmed the beach, coastline, cliffs and surrounding landscape using a DJI Inspire 3. The Scottish winter brought its share of difficult weather, so the shoot involved working around changing light, wind and conditions to capture the location at its best.

The resulting footage was supplied to the production team and combined with visual effects to help transform the East Lothian coastline into part of the world of Frankenstein.
