We’ve been documenting the development of the Dunard Centre in Edinburgh through an ongoing programme of drone photography and film.

Regular visits to the site allow us to capture the building as it takes shape, creating a growing visual record of the project from a perspective that would be difficult to achieve from the ground.

Rather than focusing on a single moment, the project is about continuity. Returning throughout the development means key stages can be recorded consistently, while the changing city around the site provides context for the scale, location and progress of the build.

The result is an evolving library of aerial photography and film that can be used across the Dunard Centre’s website, social media, project updates, presentations, PR and wider communications.

The material in use

Construction projects can span several years, with different stories to tell at every stage.

Building a visual library throughout that process creates far more than a record of construction. Individual photographs and video clips can be drawn upon as the project develops, providing fresh material for communications without every piece of content requiring a separate production.

It’s another example of the thinking behind One Day Brand Library: capturing high-quality material with enough breadth and flexibility to keep working long after the shoot itself.
