With more than 4,700 precast concrete piles being installed across the site, there was plenty to document. Four piling rigs were operating simultaneously, installing piles between approximately 6 and 16 metres deep across the development.

Working from both the ground and the air allowed us to tell the story at different scales. Close-up photography and film captured the people, machinery and engineering process, while the drone revealed the extent of the piling operation and its place within the much larger construction site.

The result was a varied library of photography and film that Roger Bullivant could use to document the project, communicate its expertise and share the scale of its work across its wider marketing and communications.

The material in use

The combination of ground and aerial content created a flexible bank of material covering people, process, machinery, engineering detail and the wider site.

Rather than relying on a single finished film, the shoot created individual photography, video and aerial assets that could be used across project case studies, websites, social media, presentations, PR and future communications.
